V(Kim Tae-hyung) – A Journey from Daegu to Global Stardom

V

V(Kim Tae-hyung) , popularly known as V, was born on December 30, 1995, in Daegu, South Korea. Growing up in a modest family of farmers, V’s childhood was far from the glamorous life he now leads as a global superstar. The eldest of three children, V’s early life was marked by simplicity and a close-knit family environment. Despite the challenges of living in a rural area, he found joy in music from a young age. V initially aspired to become a saxophonist, a dream that led him to take music more seriously during his school years. He was particularly influenced by his father, who always supported his ambitions and encouraged him to pursue his dreams, no matter how distant they seemed.

The Accidental Audition and Entry into BTS

V’s entry into the world of K-pop was almost serendipitous. Unlike many aspiring idols who go through numerous auditions, V had never considered becoming a singer. His journey began when he accompanied a friend to an audition for Big Hit Entertainment in Daegu. V didn’t plan to audition himself, but a staff member noticed him and encouraged him to try out. His raw talent and charisma were immediately apparent, and he was selected to join Big Hit as a trainee. This unexpected turn of events set the stage for what would become one of the most significant careers in the history of K-pop.

After being selected, V moved to Seoul, where he underwent intensive training in singing, dancing, and performing. The life of a trainee is notoriously difficult, marked by long hours, rigorous routines, and immense pressure to improve constantly. For V, this period was both physically and emotionally taxing. He was separated from his family and thrown into a highly competitive environment where the future was anything but certain. Despite these challenges, V’s determination and passion for music helped him persevere. His unique voice, which stood out even among his talented peers, eventually earned him a spot in BTS.

Struggles on the Road to Success

While BTS’s rise to fame might seem meteoric, the journey was fraught with difficulties. V and the other members faced skepticism from the industry, financial hardships, and the constant pressure of proving themselves. In the early days of BTS, the group was often overlooked by mainstream media and struggled to gain recognition. The boys worked tirelessly, performing at small venues and releasing music that often went unnoticed. This period of struggle was particularly challenging for V, who had to grapple with self-doubt and the fear of failure.

Despite these hurdles, BTS’s breakthrough came in 2015 with the release of “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life” series. V’s deep, soulful voice became a defining feature of the group’s music, earning him recognition as a lead vocalist. However, with fame came new challenges. The relentless schedule of performances, recordings, and global tours took a toll on V’s mental health. He has openly discussed his struggles with anxiety and the pressures of living up to the expectations of millions of fans worldwide. Yet, through it all, V remained resilient, finding solace in his music, his fellow members, and the love of his fans, known as ARMY.

Instagram – A Window into V’s World

In December 2021, V, along with the other BTS members, created a personal Instagram account, @thv, which quickly garnered millions of followers. V’s Instagram is a reflection of his artistic sensibilities and multifaceted personality. His feed is a mix of aesthetic photographs, candid moments, and artistic expressions that offer fans a glimpse into his life beyond the stage. V’s posts often have a dreamy, ethereal quality, showcasing his love for art, nature
